Gidday everyone

It's been a while for me. I was just wondering if anyone has been on the stretch from Big Bob to Grass Lake recently?
Wondering how overgrown it currently is?? Thinking about a sprig trip up that way.

Thanks

Gidday everyone

I have talked my wife into going into the park for an interior trip so I was thinking of trying something different instead of our walks through the park with a canoe :.

I have never camped on Opeongo and I am looking at base camping on Annie's Bay for a few nights.

Any campsites that anyone would recommend? swimming. getting a bit of a breeze, sunsets, sunrise?

TIA

well...it's been a while since being online.
I was just sitting back thinking I sure am looking forward to my annual spring trout fishing trip, so I thought I would jump on to see what is happening....it didn't occur to me The Park too might be impacted by our current situation.
As a health care worker I am certain I will be looking for an escape by then!
Hopefully things take a turn for the better!
I guess if the Park doesn't open in early May the silver lining would be an uptick in the trout population!

I think the plane saw how much ice is left, and headed south.

sat images from today are not promising for opening all of the interior this weekend.

here's hoping a partial opening??? fingers crossed

Thanks everyone for their replies. Lots of great memories of the area and we may find our way back there this yr! Those alders help thin the crowds eh?

Evan - you made me smile when you were describing your Day 2 plans on your video and that you had lots of time

Martin G - any chance we will run into you again on the Nip this yr?

Been a while since I have been on the site but cabin fever is starting to hit!
Has anyone been on the Nip on the stretch from Big Bob to Grass lake lately....how bad is it over grown?

interesting factoid. I read somewhere that Basin Lake is the only lake in the park that Northern Pike were naturally found.
