Great read and photos! The end of McCarthy Creek at Mole Lake is jammed up with logs right now. Possible to pass but a pain in the you know what. Jealous about the moose! We paddled down McCarthy three times last week with no luck. We did get into lots of fish though. Key was crankbaits that dove 12 feet or spinnerbaits in the morning or evening.

Ya between reading about the mice and the outhouse I'm questioning my decision to rent the cabin. We'll see if it's enjoyable. If it isn't raining I'll probably sleep in my tent. I actually just switched it to Tattler. I feel like a 30 minute paddle is too short and we'd probably get bored.

LOL I ended up booking Kitty Lake ranger cabin instead of crotch for the 3rd. Super pumped- haven't done a trip this long in a while. Hoping for some good pike fishing!

Ended up switching to Crotch-Booth-Booth-Booth-Farm. Going to do day trips to Tattler and Mole Lake. Makes more sense financially (will save on canoe rental and gas) and should be more productive fishing (not a bass guy but love eating pike).

Night 3- Big Trout Lake
Night 4- McIntosh
Night 5- Little Misty- have a 5 hour drive home so fine with being on a meh site- love that we'll have the lake to ourselves. It is a bit more ambitious of a last day than I'd like but daisy and hambone are booked.

Not too sure but it would be a better option than the terrible park wood that they don't dry.
Curious how you plan on being there so early. Don't you need to go to permit office to print the permits and vehicle pass?
