Was just looking at the forecast for Canoe Lake tomorrow - above zero overnight with a lot of rain. Seems like a good start.

A friend has a cottage near Burks Falls.  Last weekend they were still drilling 20" of ice, fingers crossed for wind and rain.

Using the chart that Dwight posted earlier as my resource my guess is April 26th.

Fingers crossed as I have a solo trip booked for first (currently available) week of booking dates in May.

Currently 16 and sunny at Muskoka Airport. Winds 22 km/h with gusts to 35. I'm feeling confident that I'll be able to get on the water in early May.

Take everything as it comes; the wave passes, deal with the next one.

Lake Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island is usually ice free by middle of April.  We don't even have black ice yet!

My 100 percent guess is April 28 (give or take 99.9 percent).

East side of Algonquin is still shore to shore ice. I don’t foresee fishing opening day on Opeongo in two weeks. But it’s also not the first time ice is still on this time of year in recent memory.

Yes I agree!  I have a friend who lives in Whitney who gives me ice out conditions on a few lakes along Highway 60.

Hey Swede
Hahaha!!! Truly cabin fever it is!
I looked back on my logs and in 2018, on May 5th I camped semi winter, I was able to pull a sled. In a hammock, very near McCraney on the Crown side, and it snowed. I don't believe it will be that far this year, I would shoot for April 26th weekend.
Very feverish

Looks like springs momentum is picking up now, my guess is the park will open for May 2. Temperature's in the teens most days with nighttime highs above zero with sun and rain. Think I will be on the water on the 3rd as planned.
