Bush Plane Museum

On our way to Manitoba, we made a stop at the Bush Plane Museum in Sault Ste Marie.  I didn't plan enough time, though.  It was really interesting and there was a lot more to see than I thought.

Re: Bush Plane Museum

Thanks Barbara for posting this. It looks like my kind of place to visit but I had never heard of it till now.

On the second photo of the canoe in pieces.  Is that a multi pc canoe you put together or just a cut down canoe?

Re: Bush Plane Museum

Hey, Bill, it's worth the stop, for sure.  I only budgeted us one hour for it and we needed more time.  It's a lot of stuff crammed into a surprisingly small area.  Bush planes, forest fire fighting, radio operators...so much to see and learn.

Russ, if I recall correctly, those canoes were manufactured in pieces.  Presumably easier to store and to transport.  Very weird looking things.
