Is this doable in a long day? If not, what is a preferred camp spot in between the two?

Hi,
I won't be able to comment on Lavieille to Radiant in a day, for the reason I've never done it..never tried. I'm a double carry so I would never come close. Whenever I'm through that area I'm usually fishing as well so emphasis on taking my time.
Instead I'll answer part two of your question, decent places to stay.
I've stayed on Francis, "The forks" and Lavaque. I'm always travelling solo so I don't need much. There is a site at the end of the 2460 going downstream on the Crow which would be just fine for myself as well. Just haven't stayed there yet.
Not sure how that fits in your trip planning for spending the night, but I hope it helps.

Yeah it's a long day. But doable! I did Brent to the Forks on the Crow River once.
Alternatives are Lavieille to Francis. I like Francis l, but the beach site I like seems to have been decommissioned. Other option is Lavieille to the Forks, then Forks to Radiant. I think the Forks is a shitty little site. But, to some folks it is magical. I could be wrong.

Lavielle to Francis is a decent length day.. Radiant would be doable. We held up at Francis recently and had a beach site. Where the purple arrow indicates a beach east of the Pet." I believe".On newest Map By Jeff. It Had been a long hot day. We were roughly 9hrs from Swifty site to that Beach. Pretty sure the site to the west of Pet there may be the decommissioned one Martin mentions.

FYI I've updated my map to add that campsite back =)
It was removed on the park's map, which is what made me think it'd been closed. Nope, turns out they just deleted it accidentally. Oops.
There's also a new portage on the west side of the river coming into Francis. Not critical, since there hasn't been one there before, but handy if you're travelling upstream when there's a lot of current.
