I have not been there, but it sure looks like a nice spot.

JR Booth Dam remains portage from Tim Lake headed into Tim River on the way to Rosebary ?
Offline
Not the JR booth dam on the Tim. You'd be at least 2, probably 3 days travel by canoe to reach this spot from there.

No idea where this is, but it is a cool photo. I feel like the caption should be "And that's why I had to swim for my canoe." The boat just looks like it is itching to get in that rapid.

Haha, yes Dave while taking this photo I was keeping a tight eye on her just in case it let go.
Hint: this is a portage landing.

Pet between Misty and Grassy Bay?

Not the Pet. JR Booth dam remnants is the closest guess so far.

Alright this is getting stale, hopefully because you're all out on trip getting the brookies that escaped me on the one this picture was taken on. (2 brookies, 1 splake over 4 days between 6 of us)
North of 60, fairly popular route at all times of the year. You probably wouldn't notice or even see this little waterfall/rapid in regular/low water season. I was able to skip a 100+ meter portage by running a rapid shortly after this portage.

I'm guessing it's on the Nip or the Pet somewhere. I've been up and down both a few times but have no clue where this picture was taken.

‘Tis neither the Nip nor the Pet Martin. I’m positive you’ve travelled this area as many others. It’s much more appealing to go down this stretch than up, due to one portage.

High water on the 800m portage on Maple Creek between Maple Lake and Kiosk?

You've got it Dwight! It was cool to see Maple creek with such a heavy spring flush. We were able to run the raps around the 120m port, for future reference.
