    looks like the muddy mess going in to Little Crooked although the logs were half sunken in when I was there

    Photo was not taken at the nasty end of the Little Crooked Lake portage. Following a bearing of 302° degrees from the mess at the end of the Little Crooked Lake portage will eventually lead you to where the pic was taken.

    Portage/lake in the photo is slightly west of north from the ragged to big porcupine portage.
