    Yeah, I suspected it might be a river scene. I'll say the Pet above the 300m portage (and the waterfall) between Catfish and Cedar.

    I was thinking the exact opposite - what lake is normally whitecaps in windy weather.  I would then guess one of the east/west lakes, like Rain?

    nice work, Whitson/Pet River it is, but properly I'd say its Whitson, looking south from the campsite opposite the five mile rapids portage

    Water was incredibly high, and we couldn't paddle against it past this point . . . (Sep 2014)
