Lauder

Re: WIA 451

It is not Three Mile or Lauder.  Three Mile appears to be (with very unscientific 'measurement') the closest guess so far...

Biggar Lake

If life gives you lemons, go fishing.

Re: WIA 451

It is not Biggar Lake.  My 'closer' lake comment (Three Mile) may have been misleading.  All lakes guessed so far are at least a day or two travel to this location - almost certainly more for a middle aged desk jockey like me.

McCraney?

Re: WIA 451

It is not McCraney.  McCraney is further south than this location.  The lake is also, if I'm eyeballing the map accurately, smaller than any guessed so far.  The camera is facing north-west.

Re: WIA 451

Looks like you are looking across Grand from the Achray yurt but clues have already eliminated that I think.

Birchcliffe?

Re: WIA 451

It is not Grand or Birchcliffe.  I hurt my knee trying to get to Birchcliffe a couple of years ago, so that lake remains a unicorn for me...

Most visitors to this lake would probably start at the Magnetawan or Tim river access.
If you were on the lake you would probably check the availability of another campsite before this one, though I wouldn't consider either a tremendous site.

Re: WIA 451

I feel like I've stood right there, but I can't put my finger on it.

Is it Osler?

Re: WIA 451

It is not Osler. This lake is further west, and almost certainly sees more traffic.
