I've never been through there. The picture is of a landing for a regular maintenance portage.

You got it - we are at the start of the portage from South Canisbay to Delano. This was on the first trip my wife and I did in 2020. On our last night we were camped on Bonnechere and we decided to take this route back to Cache as we had not done it before. Unfortunately by the time we reached Cache it was clear that we would not be able to continue to Smoke. I had to hike 10km down the highway to Smoke to retrieve the car and with Covid-19 I certainly wasn't going to bother trying to hitchhike. A pretty good day considering we are in our early 60's and my wife has osteoarthritis in her knees.

Funny, I thought of that exact Portage when I looked at the picture but my experience was very high water. Underwater bridges, and I'm pretty sure that we had to get in the boat from a good 10ft back from their start.
That's an incredible feat making that long walk.. good on you! Those Mohawk lakes between Bonnechere and Delano are interesting. I recall very clean, sandy gravel bottoms but no reports of fish. APP is funny like that
