We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it.

Re: WIA 302

I keep looking at that picture and wonder “what is it that is sticking out 5 feet from the pack?” My best guess is that the picture is of one of the many portages between Kiosk and Maple Lake, but the water levels are much lower than the last time I passed through.

Re: WIA 302

Not Ryegrass. Not on a Portage between Kiosk and Maple. Also not sure what is sticking out 5' from the pack. On one side is wetland. On the other a canoe that Scott is taking his sweet ass time picking up. Maybe he's not looking forward to the Portage?

Unusual to see for someone who goes ULTRA light.

Oh I think I misunderstood this. I was looking for something on the ground behind Scott. Thinking that was grabbing your attention. Now, I think you mean, 'what the heck is attached to his pack'. Who knows, it could be anything. Bumblebee costume, patio umbrella, kitchen sink. Scott tries to carry as much as humanly possible at all times. But, on close examination it might just be his PFD.

Re: WIA 302

Martin, you know I stopped bringing the BumbleBee costume. And the kitchen sink is inside the pack.

I think I remember where this is, I may be trying to repress the memories of this trip.

Yes, that is my highly regarded PFD. I trust it to save my life more than Martin.

Re: WIA 302

No. This spot is higher up the Algonquin Dome than anywhere mentioned so far.
