I wanna say Kildeer Raps but i know that isn't right.. don't think its wide enough and don't remember a little island but there you have it . Kildeer Raps ?

That is correct - it is not Kildeer Rapids.

Amable du Fond between Manitou and Kiosk? we were rushing through this area on our really long day to get out, so it all kind of blended together...

You got it!  The photo was taken from the road bridge on the first portage from Kioskokwi on the May long weekend this year.  With the late spring and abundant rain the river was flowing at a pretty high level.
