Re: AFA 2019-2020 Schedule of Operations Map

If my eyes are not deceiving me, the spring and fall Schedule of Operations are close to Grand Lake and Carcajou/Greenleaf/Barron Lakes area?

Re: AFA 2019-2020 Schedule of Operations Map

Hi John. Just be careful that you're driving your truck on open 'public' road and not an 'AFA' logging road. Wouldn't want to hear you got nailed by a logging truck or a fine.

Re: AFA 2019-2020 Schedule of Operations Map

Hi John, this reopening of the Foys Lake road is the first time I have seen a logging road reopend for public use. It does take a second look at the legend to notice. Certainly not something that jumped out to me on my first look. What a pleasant surprise. I'm definitely going to check out Foys this season.

What did Barry have to apologize for?

Re: AFA 2019-2020 Schedule of Operations Map

Thanks for posting Barry! Useful information to have.
BoKnows,  was camping on Grand (south end) mid sept. last year and could hear equipment in the AM.  With the way sound carries it may be the same this year.
John Connelly, wow, I thought you were joking.  Reminding everyone not to use 'AFA' roads is a public service just like posting the original schedule and should be met with gratitude.  Happy camping : )

In the interest of not wanting anyone 'to get nailed by a logging truck or a fine', I'm passing on this email I just received from Joe Yaraskavitch ...

The original PDF of the above map can be downloaded here .. http://www.algonquinadventures.com/forums/MU451_2019_AWS_MAP_SummaryMap.pdf

Yes, thank you, Barry. Any chance you have to help prevent me from getting fined or hit by logging trucks, please take it (that goes for the rest of you, too)!

Indeed - I will echo AlgonquinLakes. My sincere thanks to Barry et al. For keeping the site active and maintaining a wonderful resource for the park. Any warnings/heads up are more than welcome.

Take a chill pill dude. Barry had good intentions and you flew off the handle. Your follow up posts have only furthered your diminishing "character". Enjoy the outdoors, friend.

Re: AFA 2019-2020 Schedule of Operations Map

Actually PaPaddler I think part of John's issue is that the map in the initial post has been changed. Anyone reading the post today would not know that. The map originally posted showed a public road going in to Foys. John picked up on this. Since his originsl comments the map has been updated to change the road to a Fall Haul Road. Which leads people to think John is in error. He was not.

As for the rest I'm not getting involved.

Here is a link to the map originally posted. Clearly showing a public road to Foys
