Re: Where in Algonquin #14

No and no. This lake has 4 ways in/out. The photo was taken only a few hundred metres away from where I found the paddle in my avatar picture.

Not Kiosk.

I have found two so far.. one last year and one this year. I also introduced the contest to a friend/co worker last year and he also found a paddle the last two years.

You would think someone would notice they were missing a paddle.

Re: Where in Algonquin #14

Its a contest. It's held by the people who own Badge Paddles. They specifically make custom paddles and hide them on portages across Ontario and release 'clues' in the form of riddles on their website. The point of the contest is to 'get people out there'. I have won two paddles thus far.

Last year's is  second from the left and this years it second from the right.

I met up with Mike Ranta both on Lake Nipissing as well as the Mattawa River the next day. Got him to sign those paddles that I never use. This year I tried to catch up to the 'Paddling Home' family to get them to sign the other side of the paddles but just missed them unfortunately on the Mattawa.

I was thinking Pen too but it has 5 portages off the lake.

Must be Bice then?

We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it.

Pen Lake does indeed have 5 portages, but one of them is to a dead-end lake, meaning its not an actual way in/out.
Pen it is!
