Where is this campsite smack-dab in the middle of a canoe route?

Nip R @ 875m portage (South of Gibson L)?

Looks a little like Iagoo but doesn't seem like enough water.

Not Iagoo...
...but I did camp there once back in July 2011. Would you believe we swam in that leech swamp of a lake? It's amazing what a hot day of portaging will make you do. (But to be fair, we took the canoe out to the middle then swam around there - still though, yuck.)

On the portage from N River Lk to N River.

Tim river campsite at little trout creek?

Not Tim River at Little Trout Creek.
Hint:
This campsite has something very specific in common with only 10 other campsites in Algonquin Park.

One of the campsites on the crow river by "the forks" where it splits into white partridge creek?

And the lake you were trying to get to that night is named after one interesting dude.

Not Bissett Creek or the Crow R.
You wouldn't 'plan' to stay here, that's for sure. But it is a nice spot.

Do not have a clue ...
But my canoe was never stashed farther away from the water than my tent .
If I was worried about it being blown away during the night,
ensuring it was tied to a tree would allow me a good nights sleep :-)

Raccoon you just created a hint inadvertently.
I agree with you, so in what scenario would the set up in the pic make the most sense?

End of the 2360 portage to the South River?
