I knew that one because I was there a month ago. We stayed on Delano and went for a hike.

We all agreed you have to be a little nuts to go this way. How did you make it to the water?!

We missed the eclipse in the park by one night, but saw it at home. It was pretty cool.

Moon Rise(7:30pm)

Saturday, the moon was so bright we didn't need any lights around camp!

On our way out of the park on Sunday we noticed the west gate flags at half staff, and a line up to get into the parking lot. Just wondering if anybody knew anything about that?

You might want to look into neoprene hunting boots.  Very similar to rubber boots but with a bit more tread and a little bit more support. I use them spring summer and fall. Like Rob said, just add socks as needed.
