100% agree that bass fishing in Algonquin should be open all season with no limits...however, that wasn't the original question asked by the OP.

As far as interpretation, it was a little more "clear" the other way to me when I took into account the entire post instead of just "bass fishing" & "May".    My fault?? I guess for always assuming the best of intentions and answering the question of where to go bass fishing in the park in July instead of automatically assuming ignorance of the law.

Perhaps the OP will jump in and clarify.

They didn't say they went in May nor did they say they have fished for bass when they have gone in May...
"We always go in May and like everyone else we are changing plans to a July trip."

I have had pretty good luck for bass in the northwest corner. North Tea, Kioshkokwi, Mink.  On my July/August trips of course...

Good luck!!

No problem swedish pimple!  Glad it helped.
I had a quick look at the availability at Brent over the summer and saw a TON of red!

Not sure if you are aware but there are 2 to 3 pics of each campsite on the Ontario Parks reservation page.  Might help a little.
I haven't been to the east end of the campground either...so can't help in that regard

Not Philip Depot.   Getting very close though.

This pic was taken 2 minutes earlier...

Not Tattler and if I found ‘Pot of Gold Lake’ I’d probably keep it to myself 😉

Hogan is the closet guess so far.

Not anywhere on the Nipissing.  I should have said I was going to spend the night...when this pic was taken.

Not Crotch.

There's a campsite behind and to the left of the photo...where I spent the night.

Haven't been but based on the clues...  Dividing Lake?    I see it has one site inside the park and one outside

5th annual spring trip with my 14 year old. This should have been our second night (ever) on Lavieile.  Then waking up to do our first Dickson-Bonfield.   We will remember this one for very different reasons.

Here’s to paddling soon!
Cheers!

Nice job Steve!  Great idea for the back of the chair.

Those pot cozies work great and can take a real beating! I use mine all the time for rehydrating meals. They even keep your water hot enough if you want that second cup of coffee in the morning.
I made one for each size pot I have.   I used the aluminum foil tape instead of duct tape.
