Being visit this site as an anonymous for years, I grab a lot info from other AVers and it is great. To be fair, I should contribute something to this site for others. I would like to introduce how to diy the feather light tarp if someone interested.
This Diy consist of two parts: one is the tarp making, another is the tie up system.
dim: 5'3"x10'6"
weight: 85g including ropes and tensioners
cost: $x (one digit, mine is none, everything I need already there)
difficulties: easy
tools: drill, drill bit(1/16), knife, scissors, pliers
I did mine, tested in my backyard in windy day and I used it for a couple of trips, works better than I expected.

I appoligize my awkward English. I know this is not good season for DIY, I simply leave those drawings here for the future use. Hope this help.

Very creative! Excellent instructions! Pretty light duty though. I wouldn't take it on a trip. I also suggest learning the Taughtline hitch.
