Algonquin Adventures / Rain Lake Access Road condition

I was looking at the Friends site for some infomation on the current condition of the Rain Lake Access Road and couldn't find anything specific other than it is currently closed as is the entire park.

Anyone (someone local, perhaps) have any information as to the current snowpack, etc. I was thinking of doing the upper loop of the WUT should the park open up @ the 28th. Just wondering what the chances might be.

Canoe algonquin posted some pics from rain lake road of FB the other day. Still 1 to 2 ft of packed snow in shaded spots. Could contact them for current conditions.

Well, Rain Lake looks like a no go as the Park has delayed to opening until May 4th.
I've never done the 1st loop this early so I guess that's the plan now.
