Certainly there are locations on McDonald Creek that feature a similar landscape, But no, not McDonald Creek.

And indeed the photo is of Upper Spectacle, at the end of the portage from Little Carcajou. I'm glad someone got it because I couldn't think of a useful clue that wasn't a complete give-away.
