Algonquin Adventures / No More MEC Tarps?

I was on the MEC website looking for tarps and notice they no longer sell their Scout or Guide tarps. I have 3 of their tarps and really like them. Wonder why they are no longer making/selling them?

I noticed that last week when it was mentioned on another site. They just seem to be all gone and I didn’t see them on clearance. I have one of each and think they are great. Maybe they are just changing suppliers. Tarps are such an essential item that it doesn’t make sense not to offer MEC brand tarps

I re- tooled my tarps over the winter and sold all my current tarps, one of which was a MEC Guide tarp. Noticed then (maybe 3 months ago) that is was discontinued. Seemed odd to me too. Solid tarp, well built not too heavy..good price point and a popular seller. Maybe they're waiting till spring to launch new tarps but it's been a while now since they've offered their own brand.

I have their Guide, Scout and Super Tarps and love them all. The Super Tarp hasn't been made for a few years now but that thing is a god-send on base camping trips. Pretty much covers the entire campsite!

Looks like the MEC Scout tarp is back and the Guide tarp has been rebranded as a medium Scout.
