Re shock-cording tent poles

The shock cord in my tent poles have seen better days.  Tent is a 17 yr old Kelty Mantra 5, 3 poles need to be re-done.

What is the best cord and where can I get it in-store?  Any other tips?  Weight is not an issue.

Thanks

Re: Re shock-cording tent poles

I've seen packages of it at Canadian Tire but MEC sells it by the metre.

Re: Re shock-cording tent poles

Thanks for your reply, I have seen it at cdn tire but wasn't sure of its quality. The old gal is used very often and takes some abuse. Great reliable tent, I need good shock cord for her.

Thanks also for your welcome,  I'm new old blood lol.
