Re: Canoe camping with kids recommendations

I completed a four night trip into Rosebary down the Tim R. about five years ago with my three boys who were about 9-13 at the time. I swore after that trip that I would never travel the Tim R again. I thought it would never end between the switchbacking and forthing of the river and the seven beaver dams I thought, in hindsight, that was a terrible idea. I have done a lot of canoe tripping with my kids and that route had few redeeming qualities beyond the beach on Rosebary. Some of our best trips with our kids have been out of Achray and Grand Lake on the east. Shall Lake and into Shirley or Booth and Rock/Smoke/Louisa.
