Thanks John - I thought it was a beaut too! lol not 'Pickerel Grass Lake' but it sure could be. It is passable, you just can't see the way in this pic.
Tripper it's not the Galipo River and Rob it's not Big Porc either.
It is along a regular maintenance canoe route.

Ooooh.. good guess!
But no - I should rephrase my last hint from 'It's along a regular maintenance route' to 'this is part of the regular maintenance route'.
So it's not a side trip or side creek - this is the route.

No idea where it is, but this is a lovely picture.

McCarthy creek headed towards Mole lake ?

It looks like the mouth of the Tim River at Rosebary Lake, but you usually post the east side of the park.

The marsh between Carcajou and the hydroline? Picture is looking back east toward Carcajou?

AL100 - yah man - its a sweet spot to paddle through!
Andy, not McCarthy Creek - further north.
MSR, not Tim to Rosebary. Not exactly the 'east side' but definitely not the west side..
Craiger - Good guess - beautiful marsh there, but nope, not here. Further north.

I haven't been there, but the trip was supposed to have gone there.....would this be the south end of Club Lake, somewhere around the carry to Mouse? That fits the bill of not being east or west, on a main line canoe route, and is norther-er than the other guesses....but I don't think that is the vegetation scene there...

Is it looking east down David Creek from Mubwayaka?

I have a few guesses, all of which seem just a little too much "part of the regular maintenance route" to be correct. Like, for example, it couldn't be the mouth of the Nipissing on Marshy Bay in Cedar Lake . . . could it?
Offline
Not Club, not David and nowhere along the Nipissing.
North end of the Park for sure.

Trillium, that's an excellent guess. I cannot imagine that it would be correct since it is such a commonly visited location that someone would've noticed it outright, but often times Peek forces us to look so remotely that he's conditioned us to not looking at the obvious. It's like a Pavlovian reaction.

Thanks for the reassurance, PaPaddler.
Guess #2 -- equally too obvious given Peek's opening line to this thread suggesting many would not have visited the place: Sunfish Lake, orientation uncertain as it's been like 35 years or more since I went that way.
