Queer lake. 

I realized this morning that 'directly south' may insinuate that the lake is the next one to the south. I should have said something like 'further south as the crow flies from Queer' instead. Also, this lake has one thing in common with WIA 906.

Not Tern, but getting closer - the lake has something exactly in common with Tern.

Clara it is! This is taken from the portage coming in from McCraney, where there is also a hike-in campsite on the right. As an aside, the eastern hike-in site was not yet established/available when this photo was taken. This is my favourite lake on the Western Uplands Trail.
