    Before planning any trips, note that today May 27 is Algonquin Park's 132nd birthday.

    In 1893 Algonquin Park was born.

    Today is a good day to renew your FOAP membership or become a member.

    Nice!  Doesn't look a day over 11,500 years (since the ice shield receded like my hairline).

    And thanks to the people with the wisdom to set this spectacular region aside as a park.

    i have the  "dan gibson solititudes " algonquin centennial poster framed and under glass hanging here at the lodge.
