i know it is not cloud lake

No it’s not Booth.
Had a chuckle about sweedish pimples analogy of the clouds. It could very well be Simpson Clouds, or Cumulus humilis clouds (fair weather cumulus)

Looking out at Louisa from Florence?

No it’s not Louisa.
unlike all the Lakes guessed you would not be able to get to this lake just by paddling/portaging in one day.

Not Francis. But this is the closest guess so far. I did visit Francis on the Petawawa later on this trip. This Lake is west of Francis.

straight west of francis , as the crow flies is doug`s lake ,, could it be ?
that looks like a chopper ride in and out

Further west and a touch south of Doug.
When I say that it's still a good ways away. It took me about 4 days to paddle from this lake to Francis.

No it's not Hayes.
I owe everyone a bit of an apology I had my map oriented wrong on my IPad, so this lake is more SW of Doug, So instead I'll post another picture.
If you've finished this portage and seen this lake. Chances are you'll never forget the portage.

The photos remind me of the end of the portage trail from Hogan to Big Crow looking south over Big Crow, but that seems too close to an access point based on the hints given so far...

It is indeed the end of the 3750 looking at Big Crow. I guess an access point is closer if you take a shuttle from Opeongo. I didn't think about that.
Your up!

It's funny, in my mind Opeongo to Big Crow (without tax) is an easy day's travel. Whatever memory makes me think that must be 10+ years old because when I look at the map I don't think I would attempt it all in one go anymore!
