Hey guys, dumb question but I have a Kevlar canoe which has a small puncture through the gel coating. I've had this canoe for about 10 years now and admittedly was a bit rough on it in my 20s. I'm hoping to get it fixed and would love to have the bottom refinished, some skid plates put on also. Looking to hopefully get pointed into the direction of someone who would offer said services.
TIA

Friend of mine has been in contact with Swift a lot about his new canoe. They e been saying yes to just about every question he has about repair and refinishing.
I would reach out to either the manufacturer of the canoe, or if they don't exist anymore, a local builder. There's a big cottage industry of small builders in Ontario too if you search for canoe repair or building, which I'm sure are happy to at least give you a quote.

Is the puncture just through the gel coating? Or completely through the hull to the inside?
Either way, both situations are repairable. There are some great DIY tutorials online if you're handy, you can take it to Swift to have it completely re-done for some serious $$$, or take it to Jonny's boat shop. Not sure if they still offer the service, but the Complete Paddler in Etobicoke used to do gel coating as well.
