I was in to Vireo Lk and close to McKaskill this past Thursday. Mosquitos were bad in the morning near any body of water. As is usually the case, it wasn't so bad once a breeze came up. Deer flies appeared this past week -- it wasn't as bad as it get later in the season when swarms of them persisently chase you. Wasn't bothered by black flies -- at least not in the area I was in.

We were in temagami on the weekend, they weren't bad at all up there...
Camped on kiosk lake 2 weekends ago, they were out but nothing a single thermacell couldn't take care of.
Going to cedar this weekend in the motor boat, will be bring multiple thermacells and lots of dope
Also get one of those dragon fly buddies or whatever they are called, they actually help!

We were on cedar last weekend, no bugs what so ever.. no thermacell needed.. no spray.. way amazing

hello drew,, i will try get into lavielle just before the long weekend june 26/27th ,, i thought that the bugs along the crow river could be bad?
this year`s spring trip has been delayed because of our new grand daughter in pembrok.
getting into lavielle will be easy ( i think) getting outta dickson will be another story,, 63 now ouch !
