Before this I had done 67 days camping in a year (but not consecutive). But this year I plan to break my own record of 62 straight days to 123 straight days camping (all of July, August, September and October. Of course I would love to have visitors. LOL

Did you mean to post this yesterday?

No....not an April fools joke. What you read is totally the truth
. I should have stated though that this is "interior" camping.
GOING FOR THE RECORD!!!

Thanks...looking forward to this marathon trip.

Nice. I think I'd need periodic breaks to hit restaurants for cooked food.
Can't wait for retirement. I'll be lucky to get to 45 days total this summer.

Yes.... retirement is great. 45 days in summer is nothing to sneeze at!
Restaurant stops are happening on my days in town to replenish my supplies....then either back to campsite where I came from or the next lake on my list.

I have been outside Canada the past ,6 months in Ghana, Africa and Brazil, South America volunteering with Iko Poran teaching children English and football when this trip was planned.
I have added a few comforts to this trip like a cot bed with mattress for sleeping and a brand new guitar to keep me company during rainy days.
Lakes to be camped on will start with Opeongo, Canisbay, and then clockwise to include Rain, Tim, North Tea, Kioshkokwi, Cedar, Lake Traverse, Sec, Billy, and back to Opeongo for last few days.
All around THE GREATEST PARK IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD in 4 months.
I should add also that once this trip ends, I will begin finding a new place to live as I plan on cancelling my current living arrangements before this trip begins No sense paying rent twice over 4 months eh!
Counting the days now to start this epic journey of mine.

Thanks Pa. There have been a few times I said could of, would of, should of, and never seized the opportunities that presented themselves. I am no spring chicken but know physically and mentally I can complete this 4 month journey because I did 2 months and 62 consecutive days last year in July and August. I am only adding two more months of euphoria with cooler temps, no bugs, and fall trout fishing. Does life get any better than this?. And who knows that when the journey ends, I might become a spring chicken once again for a short time.
Nothing ventured.....nothing gained....nothing accomplished!!!?

Only $330 a month! Should be an epic trip. You should write a book about it.

Congratulations Lenny! You have hit the.nail on the head! Not only will this be an epic trip, it will save me.over $4,000 in rent!! Not to mention savings on hydro, heat, cable TV. And.of course the weekly trip to the casino.
As for writing a book, I will have to.contact Kevin Callan. LOL
I am however going to post daily (when possible) on my Facebook
Page. This way if anyone else is in the area, should they wish to pay me a visit they will know my location on the lake.

Thanks for the well wishes Dwight! Yup, the dream of a lifetime.
I couldn't start.earlier this year because of my adventures overseas and now driving special needs students back and forth to school. School ends June 27th. So July 1 I will be starting this epic trip and.it just happens to be Canada Day and the day my.mother passed away 21 years ago.
Now next year will be a different story as I will not be driving a school van.
So HOW ABOUT 6 MONTHS OR MORE LIVING THIS DREAM AGAIN FOR OVER 180 DAYS!!!!!!! DREAMS DO COME TRUE! AND TAKING IN SOME OF NOVEMBER, 200 DAYS IS POSSIBLE!!!

That has a nice ring to it Ian! LOL
But seriously I am just fulfilling a dream I had many moons ago about a 4 month interior camping trip. I tried 2 months last year to get a feel of it and.how I felt. And I felt great!!! I had lots left to carry on but I had a job waiting for me at home. But not this year!
It is 4-months or bust! Hey, if I can do this at my age and younger folks are lucky and blessed like my life has been, got for.it in the GREATEST PARK IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!
The gauntlet and challenge has been thrown. But just remember this....DONT BEAT 123 DAYS! LOL
