I didn't know where North River Lake was, so I looked it up. I love Pags' hint, that cracked me up. 
99% of the park is further south!

Parkside Bay would be the closest so far.....in terms of latitude.

Wouldn't that be looking mostly east? An evening shot would have to be looking west.
It looked like the sun was over the viewer's left shoulder - note that the higher ground in the distance is awash in sunlight.

I was seeing it as a sunset, hadn't properly figured out that was the moon rising. Oh well.
