Backpacking Food

Hi All,
Please excuse me if this topic has already been discussed.
Just wondering what all the opinions are for commercially bought dehydrated meals. For years I have been consuming Harvest Food works products. Now that I am not 30 anymore, my wife is on top of my sodium and carb intake like white on rice. The Harvest Mulligan stew has over 1200mg of sodium per pouch, that is 120% of the daily sodium intake.
I have read favorable reviews on Alpine Air meals.

Obviously the best would be to make my own, which I have made some in the past but it is nice to "go out for dinner" while at the park, LOL.

Thank you for your feedback.
