Little Island Lake

Hi All,
Was thinking of doing a late Sept trip to Little Island with the wife but couldn't find any site info on the PCI page.  Does anyone have an experience on this lake they could share?

Thanks in advance!

I used the Google and found a MarkinthePark report lol. Would still appreciate feedback though.

Re: Little Island Lake

I was there a few years back and I believe the site on the island that's the furthest east (& north) is the one you want to aim for.

Re: Little Island Lake

Second question...What Lake would be the best to launch from, Smoke or Cache?

Re: Little Island Lake

Cache is a better choice I think. Shorter portages. Nice little paddle through the narrows plus smoke lake tends to gather a bit more wind.

Re: Little Island Lake

My wife and I stayed on S/E end of island. We really liked our site. The one on the West end is also nice. We came in through Cache. I believe the site on the North shore was not that great. Our trip was late October.

Re: Little Island Lake

Nice little lake for an R&R trip. Not much to do daytrip wise but nice for reading in the sun, swimming, etc.
