Something you never thought you had to worry about

In Alaska, after snowmobiling about 20 miles into the back country, a woman needs to use the nearby outhouse.  So she does.  But when she sits down, and an animal bites her on the backside from beneath the latrine.  She screams and takes off, thinking that maybe a mink or something along those lines had taken up residence.  Her brother comes running from 150 feet away when he hears the screaming.  He opens up the latrine door, and there's a black bear looking at him, with his face at the height of the toilet seat.  He shut the lid and took off.  Later on, somebody suggested that maybe the bear had swiped at her rather than bit her, but either way.....

It turns out that the salmon run wasn't great this year, nor was the berry harvest, so not all the bears have been hibernating for the entire season, and there have been some bear sightings.  This guy found a nice warm hole in the ground, and thought he had it made until an intruder came in on him.

Bet you'll be thinking of those wiley black bears next time you go to make use of a thunderbox.  Look twice!!
