Re: WiA #398

Not Mckaskill, but I can totally see where you're coming from on that guess.

Not Queer Lake - but it is (of course) north of highway 60.

Re: WiA #398

I was thinking Red Pine Bay, but the water looks a bit too shallow with the small water lilies.  In the ballpark?

Re: WiA #398

No go PA, sorry.

Pine isn't in the name, just the dominant species in this half of the park..

Brule?

Re: WiA #398

That resembles Wendigo when coming from Allan.

Re: WiA #398

Not Brule - other side!

RPD - excellent guess - it definitely looks like Wendigo facing north. But it's not.

Closest guess (in proximity) so far is Barry with McKaskill.

Coming out of the Barron Canyon??

Re: WiA #398

Both Diana and I independently thought that this looked a  lot like Wylie Lake.  But If it is Wylie Lake, you're lost!  Wylie Lake is not in AP.  But It is in the Petawawa drainage and Pine Country.

Re: WiA #398

Sorry all - not the Barron Canyon and no, not Wylie - I wouldn't do that to the fine people here on AAF.

It's definitely within APP.. you could even say its 'official', compared to many that are not.

Headed up to the park for a week tomorrow so I won't be able to answer - let's clear this one.

Mega Hint: Official.... access point... my car is under 200m away from this photo.
