Heading up to North Tea for 1st time. Looking for day trip suggestions, Manitou or Biggar? I have read some trip reports but im undecided.

manitou has some nice beach areas to explore,, the east end especially at the portage to the river/falls,, also hiking the trail into three mile lake is an option, great area.

We were camped on a beach site close to the 485 m portage into lost dog. Did a day trip paddling to the 1900m into Lorne lake, then paddling/portaging through Lorne, Sisco,Lost Dog. To our delight both longer portages were downhill, shorter ones uphill but not bad. Easy to do in one day, I’m older therefore slower so younger people should be able to do it in maybe an afternoon.

If you’re just looking for things to see/do, I’d put Manitou above Biggar. The falls between Manitou and North Tea are pretty nice.
