Re: WIA392

I'm surprised this flag tree hasn't been located yet, especially considering that it is on a main route.  Perhaps it is no longer standing; it has been a few years since we visited it.

Wright or wrong?

Re: WIA392

Wright is wrong.
I guess my hints have been a little too subtle.  But if I were more forthcoming and identified the closest guess so far, for example, it would be a dead giveaway.

Re: WIA392

Hmm dead giveaway eh?

It definitely looks familiar Bob..

Perley eastern site ... as In Pearly Gates to go with the dead giveaway mention?

Re: WIA392

Not Perly, but Perly is a good guess.  But Perly is not consistent with all that has been said.  Yes "dead" in "dead giveaway" was sort of a clue but it is really obtuse.  More of a diversion than a clue.

My diversion is working even better than I could've hoped.  These clues are deceiving you as to what they are.

Re: WIA392

This is starting to frustrate me too. I guess everything is clear in retrospect.  But it seems to me, that on the basis of all that has been said, the answer should be obvious.  But to divert attention from the obvious answer, I created a (honest) diversion.  That diversion has worked too well.  Just stick to main street; avoid off the track alley ways.

Lost Joe?

Re: WIA392

Not Lost Joe Lake.  It's not even close.  But that guess indicates that you've been paying attention.  You're on the right track (I think).

Re: WIA392

Hmm, on the track of Joe vs Little Joe, how about Mink Lake having taken the 'main street' rail bed straight to Mink from Kioshkokwi rather than going through Little Mink?

Re: WIA392

Not Mink Lake.
A couple of points:
I suspect that one of my clues probably date me.  That is, I am alluding to a nick name that is perhaps no longer current.
I further suspect that people are misjudging the size of the body of water we are looking at.

The closest guess so far is Narrowbag.  I look forward to seeing the correct answer in the morning.

Yes Catfish Lake is correct.  martin2007 is up.  The exact location is from the campsite just south of the narrows and east of the feature marked "Turtle Rock" (incorrectly, I believe) on Jeff's Map.
The route from Canoe Lake to Brent used to be, and maybe still is, referred to as "main street".
