    Is there now a thunderbox on Little Carcajou???

    Just thinking ahead.

    I last time I camped on the one campsite on Little Carcajou, there was no thunder box.  This was about 15 years ago.

      I heard before that the ground on the campsite was pure rock underneath forest floor thus no thunder box.  Is this true and, if not, is there now a thunder box?

    CAMPING IS WHEN YOU SPEND A LOT OF MONEY TO LIVE LIKE A HOMELESS PERSON!

    I was there last summer and there was a thunder box, however, it's surrounded by poison ivy! Be careful!

    Yes it does, overall as a campsite I would grade it a 2/10. The one thing it has going for it is the solitude of being the only person on the lake and ok fishing. I've done the portage from upper spectacle twice and it there isn't a huge change in elevation but the terrain is very rough with lots of large boulders.
