Anyone know if this outfitter is still operating? Over the past few days I’ve sent an email, called and tried an IG direct message looking to rent a canoe this Friday and heard nothing back. If they’re closed, any recommendations for a good outfitter out of Kearney? I’m going in to Rain Lake for the day on Friday and looking to rent a solo boat.

Try messaging ATVenture from these forums - he worked there last year (not sure if he is again this year). Otherwise there's Canoe Algonquin across the street.

Are you calling the "shop" phone number or the "off season" phone number?
Id say try the off seasons number if you have not already. This time of year the shop is only open limited hours to serve pre booked customer needs as its not very busy at all.

I tried both. If it’s limited hours right now maybe they’re using this as a chance to do a short trip of their own or something.

I drove past there just yesterday! Looked like they were open to me, FYI

Ah. So it’s personal. I’ll try calling again

No experience with Basecamp, but Canoe Algonquin has always been great for us.

I got ahold of both Algonquin Basecamp and Canoe Algonquin. Great advice from both. Thanks for the help everyone
