Well, it's been too long but I'm heading up to the park again with the kayak.
Taking on the big lakes this time. Opeongo, Hogan, Lake la Muir, Big Trout, Merchant, Happy Isle, and back out through Opeongo.
A 5 day trip covering about 96km. By my calculations they're all 5 to 7 hour days with over 12hrs of daylight. It should be a good one.
So far I'm planning to do a solo trip video for my YouTube channel. I'm also looking forward to reconnection with you fine folks.

Welcome back! Big lakes and big portages, for that matter. Looking forward to the first new Lesta video in years!

Good to see you around.
Nice loop but curios why you are doing it counter clockwise?

Do the currents promote going clockwise?

Not so much currents as winds. Might be a good idea to do it clockwise: Opeongo-Happy Isle-Merchant-Big Trout- La Muir -Hogan-Big Crow-Proulx-Opeongo. Your prevailing wind is from the west. go against the wind on smaller lakes. Get a tailwind on long La Muir. And the longest portage is Hogan to Big Crow late in your travels when the pack is lighter. What do you think?

When are you planning on heading out? Me and a friend are doing nearly the same route as you, but clockwise over the Canada day weekend. Would love to meet you in person

@Ian, That would be awesome, but I'm thinking of heading up probably June 24 - 28.
I've also re-evaluated my trip clockwise and I can see by portage alone, it works better.

The blue circles are estimated meal stops though I'll likel do those at postages. The green circles are my intended camp areas.

I've never had any luck fishing in the park but I'll give it a good go. I have my kayak outfitted for trolling.

Now that my oldest is about 9 she's been out with me a couple times. She did two nights around Grand lake with me and we went up into Carcachu bay and toured the high falls / water park. she was a champ the whole time and never asked once if it was time to go home, or are we almost at camp.
