Moose sightings

Does anyone know if the mangy moose have started to venture out along hwy 60 yet ?  I know they like to drink the salty puddles ...

Re: Moose sightings

Haven't seen any photos of them yet from friends I know who live in that area and who are photographers.

Re: Moose sightings

Hi Bo ... any chance you can check with them and see if the snow is mostly out of the ditches ?

Might be an odd question but I also do some rockhounding just south of the park in road cuts, pits, etc.  like to get an idea if the snow is gone along the roads .. . thanks

Re: Moose sightings

Hello, I'm old but new. I have a story, albeit an older one from a years back - and this thread comes up real high when you search for moose.

My "sighting" (feeling was a better description) near Provoking Lake was EXTREME as I felt the moose's side with the tip of my nose, almost. Ok not with the tip of my nose but still -- less than a foot away.  Ready???  You might want to keep some smelling salts handy for this one.  It's kind of a tale from "beyond" (as in way, way out there) but rest assured I'm alive to tell it. <grin>
