walking in from mew lake,,,,,,,is it possible to walk to a spot to fish from the portage ending. perhaps walking to a campsite point (drop off) from the left of the trails end. thanks

A good part of the shoreline is accessible and fish-able in that section. The trail hugs the shore in a lot of places.

That is a superb summer time site. I stayed there 3 or 4 years ago on a solo hike.
