Cedar Lake campsites between Radiant and Catfish

As I post this, the thread at the top of Trip Planning is "Cedar Lake - North Shore Campsites", but it reminded me that I'll be spending a night on Cedar on my ice-out trip this year, and the possible weather conditions and guaranteed dangerous water temps may not give me the luxury of paddling around looking for a good place to stay. I've been through Cedar a number of times but never camped there, and I never scoped out campsites on my previous visits.

So.. I'm coming in from Radiant and heading up to Catfish the next day. In the stretch between the two Petawawas, where would you camp? I won't want to head as far as the North shore just in case of bad weather. I'm thinking only these sites I've "circled" are in play, and the Northernmost island sites would have to be amazing for me to risk waking up to three foot waves:

Suggestions?

Re: Cedar Lake campsites between Radiant and Catfish

Unless you're looking for total privacy, I would simply set up at the put-in to Cedar when you arrive.  The campsite is large and flat, and the fishing in that location is pretty good. But you may have a few trippers walking past your campsite on their way in or out of Cedar.

Edit: depending of course on the time of day you arrive. if early enough, you may want to push on to one of the south western campsites in your small rectangle.
