Anyone stayed on this site and can offer some insight as to whether it's decent? I'll be staying on North Tea this spring and will be arriving at the end of what looks like a tougher day coming down from Fassett. I'd like to check out the falls at the 585 North Tea/Manitou portage, but would like to get set up close by first (we're heading on to Biggar the next day, so the falls trip is a detour and I don't want to get stuck on a crappy site just because I want to see some waterfalls). If 1 is no good, how about 5-8?

I've stayed on 34 or 35, can't remember exactly which but it was across from the island. It was a decent site with an excellent beach. I know it's not really what you were asking for but it's pretty close to the falls and the paddle back up to the portage isn't too bad! Of course I did it in the opposite direction; from the portage from Three Mile which was against the wind the whole way so there's that. I should probably just delete this post. . .

The rocky / pine tree covered site from Episode 2 of Mark in the Park is site #5 on the PCI. Very rugged, lots of height to it, great fire pit, tenting options and views. Please note that we were camping in mid-September. I could see the site being a little too exposed if you were to get caught with poorer weather.
It's a very short paddle from the 585m portage and the trip into Biggar from there isn't long either. Can't say I remember much from paddling by #1 or #6-8, too busy filming I guess!
