Looking for some recommendations for a 4 day trip in May. Looking to hopefully fish some rapids and make a basecamp for a few nights. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We usually do a longer ice-out trip so just trying to scale it back a bit. Thank you!

Ever been to Big Bob lake? Pretty easy to get to from Tim Lake, and it is gorgeous. There is a nice beach beside the eastern most site. This site is excellent, on a nice rock point facing into the wind. You can then head down the Nip on a day trip to find your trout!

Several options...
1. Base camp on Big Trout or Longer Lake and fish the rapids coming out of Big Trout into Longer, on the Tim River downstream of Shippagew and below Longer before Red Pine Bay
2. Base camp on Big Crow or Crow River and fish the rapids of Crow River between Big Crow and Crow Bay of Lavieille
3. Base camp on Lavieille and fish the rapids of Crow River below Lavieille (certainly tougher to get to)
4. Base camp on Narrowbag or Catfish and fish the rapids of the Petawawa below and above Catfish. Requires a summit of Unicorn Hill to get to that one.

Misty lake is always nice spot to post up for a few days.
Lot's of lake to explore, good fishing, far enough into the park that you get the back country feel. You can also get into the Tim pretty easily for a day trip.
Depending where you want to enter you could also post up on Radiant or Francis and fish/shoot some raps on the Petewawa.

Thank you PAPaddler and TripperMike. Those are some great options as well. Ive done the Longer Lake basecamp a few times as well as the Catfish and Radiant Lake. Maybe Big Crow or Misty this year. Ive always heard Misty isnt great fishing though. I havent been in that area in a while though so might check it out. Thank you for your help!
