WIA 255

Here's two different views from the end of a portage. Where is this?

Re: WIA 255

Love the variety of responses -- pretty much all the way north to south! Closest so far is Gilmour.

Re: WIA 255

Burnt Island having comefrom Otterslide?

Re: WIA 255

Gilmour continues to be the closest guess. I estimate (or should I say Jeff estimates) that one could reach this spot in under 10 hours coming from Gilmour, whereas it would take about 3 days coming from Burnt Island.

. . . I know . . . I freely admit my nerdishness in actually taking the time to figure this out. That's exactly how bored of winter and desperate for paddling season I am. Should I go ahead and figure out the times from Welcome and Proulx as well?

Re: WIA 255

Hmm, how to get this back on track? I get it--not a very distinctive pair of pictures to be sure. I suppose a clue is in order. How about this: it's not very far from an access point--2 1/2(+/-) portages in fact.
