just wondering how big/bad the portage really is between Little Misty and Queer Lake. i'm taking my son and i on our first fall trip in 2 weeks and looking at 3 day route/options out of Access#3.
It's an easy portage.

Can't help with that specific question but if you're looking for good sites in the area (specifically on Queer) I took pictures of a whole bunch just last month. You can see them here:

I remember it being a smooth, wide path with easy footing.
We liked Queer Lake as well.

I did it this year. The only tough thing is the length. Otherwise it’s a nice, clear, relatively level trail. Way better than the 1.4? (I think) between Queer and the Tim River
