How about the pond that splits the portage from Pen to Welcome? Although I don't recall the portage on either side of that pond as running along the shore.

Is it along the portage between Welcome/Galipo? The 2nd, long one.

Neither of those guesses are correct. This lake has an unofficial name on Jeff's Maps,  but it is unamed by the Ontario Geographic Names Board.
