Hello,
I am planning a trip from cedar lake, at the end of aug/early sept. At the moment the plan is, Cedar - Catfish, Catfish - Robinson (Remona or Whiskey jack), third night at Long Marsh or Perly Dam on the Nip. Then paddle out the next day (4 days, 3 nights). In that section of the nipissing river, will there be enough water at that time of year to travel down the river without a great deal of slowdowns?

While water levels do vary from year to year, I've paddled that section of river as late as mid-October without any issues.
The low water issues are really more of a concern for the upper section of the Nipissing - between Big Bob lake and The Highview cabin. Downstream of there, the river is deep and has plenty of creeks feeding into it, providing tons of water
So unless we have an absolutely off the wall year of low water levels, you'll be absolutely fine.

You might have some wading to do between the Ramona Nip Port and the port to Nadine. Not a trip breaker but there are some shallow spots there that dry up when water is low.
Peek do you even camp?

Done the back half of that trip a few times in late August. Never had trouble with low water on the Nippissing at that time.
