Madawaska River Dam-Campsite

Hi,
Planning underway for a fall solo canoe trip.  Part of the route I'm looking at is from Philp Lake to Radiant.  I was considering splitting up the two portages and spending the night at the campsite at the beginning of the 3565m portage to Radiant.
I was wondering if anyone has stayed there, or has a picture.  Not looking for club med or anything like that.  Just looking for a a half descent place to call it a night.
Thanks!

Re: Madawaska River Dam-Campsite

Unfortunately I can't help you with the campsite but just be forewarned that there is a very active logging road that runs along that stretch of the river to Radiant. I did Philip to Radiant solo a couple years ago  and heard trucks several times. (I also got buzzed by 2 low flying CAF transport planes just as I entered Radiant - they were certainly louder than the logging trucks!)

Not much of a site. Poor water access too. I skipped it.
